Biography & Overview: Raihan Ahmed Joy currently serves as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE) at NITER. He holds a strong academic background from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Dhaka. With years of dedicated teaching, research, and administrative experience, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the curriculum, advancing departmental research, and mentoring students. His vision focuses on bridging the gap between industry expectations and academic learning through practical engineering applications.
Education & Experience: He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Industrial and Production Engineering with outstanding academic records. Over his professional career at NITER, he has progressed from Lecturer to Assistant Professor and subsequently taken on the leadership responsibility as the Head of the Department. He active participates in institutional decision-making, curriculum development, and academic quality management.
Research, Publications & Memberships: His research interests primarily span Supply Chain Management, Production Optimization, Quality Control, Industry 4.0, and Lean Manufacturing. He has authored and co-authored several research papers published in reputable peer-reviewed national and international journals. Additionally, he supervises undergraduate thesis projects, research collaborations, and holds active memberships in key professional engineering societies.
